Our mission is to make our customers successful as it relates to all things inventory in the digital economy.
Kansas City, Mo. – DSI® has been selected by Bel Group to provide a global, mobile-first digital supply chain solution to complement and enhance their new ERP business system, Microsoft Dynamics 365 for Operations. Founded in 1949, Bel Fuse is a global enterprise specializing in design, manufacturing and selling a broad array of products that power, protect and connect electronic circuits.
Bel Fuse, and implementation partner Armanino, LLP, were looking for a mobile data collection solution certified for the Azure market place to increase supply chain productivity which spurred their choice of DSI’s Dynamics 365. Bel Fuse will be the first company to implement DSI ScanWorkX in factories in Gong Ming, Slovakia, Hong Kong and Switzerland.
While Microsoft Dynamics 365 will provide increased sophistication in support of internal business processes, the complete solution will span and benefit the entire supply chain with improvements in production, distribution and overall customer service levels. Given the complexity and volume of orders processed by a large number of production areas, service centers and warehouse locations, Bel Fuse sought a flexible, scalable, and configurable data collection solution to work efficiently with Dynamics 365.
“As their trusted advisor, Bel Fuse requested our help in recommending the best overall solution for building out their mobile supply chain with Dynamics 365. Having worked with the DSI ScanWorkX team on previous projects and recognizing their significant achievement in being the first and only mobile solution in the Azure market place, the answer was easy.” said Jeff Russell, Chief Solution Architect for Armanino, LLP.
With DSI ScanWorkX™ and DSI’s browser-based Enterprise Printing Platform (EPP)™, the focus will be on reducing shipping errors, significantly improving inventory visibility and accuracy, reducing inventory on hand and achieving a significant reduction of direct labor costs to perform physical inventories at all global locations. As a make-to-order manufacturer, Bel Fuse will be seeking improvements in production and shipping operations for their high availability power supplies that will be accomplished by ScanWorkX.
“We will only recommend implementing ISV solutions for Dynamics 365 that have fully been vetted and approved for Azure deployment. The process is rigorous and guarantees best practices in design and coding for Dynamics 365, fully supports Life Cycle Services (LCS) for implementation, while ensuring scalability and top performance in Azure deployment alongside Dynamics 365. DSI’s global offices and 24/7/365 service center support were major selling points for Bel Fuse and Armanino” Jeff Russell. 90 DSI ScanWorkX mobile users and 80 printing seats will be deployed to correspond with Bel Fuse’s targeted “Go Live” date in January 2018.
“Customers like Bel Fuse are selecting Microsoft Dynamics 365 and DSI to provide inventory solutions that solve the challenges of the digital supply chain,” said Mark Goode, Chief Revenue Officer, DSI. “Our trusted partner, Armanino, is leveraging this offering to drive real benefits for Bel Fuse by increasing worker productivity and better inventory control from certified Dynamics 365 solutions.”
