Kansas City, Mo. – DSI announced today that Sugar Bowl Bakery will use DSI’s Digital Supply Chain Platform™ and NetSuite inventory management solutions to improve warehouse efficiency.
Sugar Bowl Bakery was founded in 1984 when five brothers purchased a small neighborhood bakery in San Francisco after emigrating from Vietnam. Now, Sugar Bowl Bakery has nearly 120,000 square feet of production facilities, and their products are sold across the United States. The company is still proudly family-owned and focuses on hiring locally to support their community.
Sugar Bowl Bakery sought a solution to increase efficiency in the warehouse. They had limited visibility into their inventory, and as their business continued to grow, they wanted a system to give them an accurate, real-time look at inventory flow.
Sugar Bowl Bakery will use DSI mobile applications on handheld devices within their warehouse and manufacturing facilities to update NetSuite in real time. DSI will automate inventory flow as they receive and fulfill product throughout their supply chain. DSI’s Platform as a Service (PaaS) allows Sugar Bowl Bakery to easily configure apps to meet their exact business requirements around processes including UOM, FIFO/FEFO, LTL Ship Confirmation, Transfer Order Receipts and Truck Inspections.
